Centre for Sustainable Leadership

sustainable project development

At the Centre for Sustainability Leadership, we understand that to build a better future we need everyone to get smarter at what they do – people, companies and communities. Since 2005, our award winning Fellowship Program has been arming people with passion, potential and commitment with the training, skills and networks they need to create the future they envisage. From flexible, low cost programs built around our online platform Leadership Rewired, to the transformative in-depth Fellowship Program, with access to leading speakers and mentors, and using experienced facilitators and trainers, our aim is to ensure real world outcomes and success. All CSL programs are based on an award winning curriculum and approach, covering topics including: using economics and sustainability to create growth; principles and practice of leadership, behaviour and social change; understanding your personal leadership style; managing personal sustainability; problem mapping and solving; design and systems thinking.

Green Steps

sustainable work practices

The Green Steps flagship is a hands-on program that bridges the gap between knowledge acquired at university and skills required to create environmental change. The Green Steps @ Uni program is delivered to selected groups of students at universities around Australia and incorporates work experience through sustainability internships to give participants the opportunity to work on real-world projects. Through a combination of training, work-based placements and projects, Green Steps equips participants with the tools and confidence to be effective change-agents working within organisations towards sustainability. Our impact on organisations and our inclusive training methodology have been recognised with a number of prestigious awards, including the national Banksia Environmental Award, Victorian Premier's Sustainability Award and the United Nations Association Education Award.
