Australian Youth Climate Coalition

Monday, 21 January 2019 - 6:00pm
AYCC office, 60 Leicester Street, Carlton

Thousands of school students went on strike because of government inaction on climate change, yet Adani have announced they're self-financing their mine and are powering ahead... Are you inspired and fired up & ready to stop this mine once and for all!?

Come along to our first campaign planning meeting of 2019 to flesh out how we'll stop Adani and build the power of the youth climate movement. We've got a huge year ahead with an upcoming Federal election and plans for Adani to begin building their mega mine ASAP. Help shape the VIC branch's campaign strategy and plans for the next couple of months.

It doesn't matter whether you're a long-time volunteer or if this is your first event with the AYCC, everyone is welcome!!

Snacks will be provided, and we'll head to the pub after (for over 18s) if people are keen.

We would like to acknowledge that this event will be taking place on stolen Wurundjeri and Boon Wurrung/Bunurong land, and pay respects to Elders past and present.

The fight for climate justice is led by incredible Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and we'd like to pay tribute to the work of the Seed Indigenous Youth Climate Network and all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people fighting to protect their country.
