The Willy Wagtails

Friday, 26 February 2016 - 8:00pm
The Spotted Mallard, 314 Sydney Road, Brunswick

After many months of composing, recording, drinking billy tea and playing gum leaves, The Willie Wagtails have completed their debut ocker jazz album Bushrangers Need Bush.

Recorded in the countryside town of Campbell's Creek at Sound Studios by Damien Charles and mixed by Chris Korczynski, the album features songs about Geoffrey Rush, solar panels, creekside hanky-panky and those Southern Cross bumper stickers. Bushrangers Need Bush is an outrageous, swinging hullabaloo of original tunes in The Willie Wagtails’ unique style of true-blue banjo jazz.

Come help us launch this beast by partying with us at The Spotted Mallard! Along for the ride are esteemed bluegrass extraordinaires The Davidson Brothers and Indie-Folk darlings Murdena!

Tickets $10 at the door!
