Hello, beautiful eco friends!

After our super successful Eco Clothes Swap party, Extinction Rebellion Sydney is hosting our first clean up day! We'll be coming together to spend the day cleaning up Cooks River waterway to reduce waste & do something positive for our planet.

Cooks River is a beautiful waterway that is 90% urbanised and therefore prone to having plastic and other waste from the streets washed into its waters. The pollution affects wildlife and ecosystems, and also washes downstream into the ocean.

Our planet is in ecological crisis, but through acting together we can make a difference.
So come down on September 28th and lend a hand to clean a patch of Mother Earth, show her you care, and connect with your local eco-conscious community!

We'll meet at 11am at Ewen Park and clean until around 1.30 - 2pm. After the clean up we’ll have a picnic, so be sure to bring along some food to share and a rug to sit on and enjoy the rest of the afternoon.

BYO gloves, wear sturdy shoes and we’ll supply the bags!

See you on the 28th

Eco-shout national grassroots events calendar promotes actions, protests, film screenings, public forums, campaign training, workshops, conservation, revegetation and gatherings for environmental and social justice. Check out how much it's kicking off around the country - together we are lots! Add an event and we'll share it through social media at peak times and do our best to shout about it. Share the calendar with your grumpy mates who think there's nothing going on.
