Rainforest Information Centre

Sunday, 25 November 2018 - 10:00am
Mycelium Studios, 10-12 Moreland Road, Brunswick East

All proceeds from this workshop will be donated to rainforest preservation efforts by the Rainforest Information Centre.

Human identity exists at the intersection of the ancient cycles of air, water and soil. In
spite of the pervasive illusion of separation, in reality, no separation is possible between
nature and ourselves. By acknowledging our interconnectedness we invite the
spontaneous healing of the psyche.

In this Deep Ecology Workshop, we participate in a series of processes and rituals informed by
those used by indigenous peoples throughout time. Using personal sharing, experiential deep
ecology and a Council of All Beings, we will dissolve the separation between person and planet.

Vision and empowerment arise naturally from realigning ourselves with the living Earth.

John Seed is the founder of the Rainforest Information Centre. Since 1979 he has been involved in
the direct actions, which have resulted in the protection of the Australian rainforests. John has written and lectured extensively on deep ecology and has been conducting experiential deep
ecology workshops around the world for 25 years.
In 1995 John Seed was awarded the Order of
Australia Medal (OAM) by the Australian Government for services to conservation.

This is a non-profit workshop, donations $50 to $100 sliding scale depending on income (students and unemployed $25)
All proceeds will be donated to the Rainforest Information Centre.

Eco-shout national grassroots events calendar promotes actions, protests, film screenings, public forums, campaign training, workshops, conservation, revegetation and gatherings for environmental and social justice. Check out how much it's kicking off around the country - together we are lots! Add an event and we'll share it through social media at peak times and do our best to shout about it. Share the calendar with your grumpy mates who think there's nothing going on.
