We need bold, urgent and decisive action, with new ways of thinking and working together to tackle these environmental challenges and protect our precious wildlife and biodiversity in a rapidly changing environment.

Learn more about CCWA's new Nature Program and hear from our line-up of guest speakers on the all-important question – how do we move from crisis to action?

Western Australia is home to unique plants and animals found nowhere else in the world. But every year the number of endangered species grows, and the available habitat for wildlife shrinks. In many places the expanding exploitation of natural resources and climate breakdown pose unprecedented threats to our ecosystems.

At Environment Matters we aim to build awareness, inspire action, and create a positive vision for the future. We will explore the challenges facing the little penguins on Penguin Island and delve into ‘Rewilding,’ a global movement dedicated to restoring natural ecosystems.

Our guest speakers will include:

Rhiannon Hardwick - CCWA Nature Program Manager
Dr Hugh Finn - Curtin University
Hannah Gulliver - ReWild Perth Program Manager
Conservation biologist - to be confirmed
