Fight for your Rights! National ProtestWednesday, 4 March 2015 - 10:00am
Trades Hall, 54 Victoria Street, Carlton SouthVictoria
The Liberal Government has announced a "Productivity Commission" to rewrite workplace conditions in Australia.
The Government's own reports indicate that:
- your penalty rates (weekend, overtime and public holiday pay)
- the minimum wage
- unfair dismissal protections
- protections from bullying
- & your working conditions
are all in the firing line. What the Liberals want is a less fair workplace relations system, where workers have no voice regarding their pay and conditions.
Despite Tony Abbott's assurances that WorkChoices was "Dead, Buried, and Cremated", we're clearly looking at its resurrection.
In response, Victorian workers (and all those who believe in a fair go) are fighting for our rights.
