Friends of the EarthSaturday, 21 July 2018 -
Join us for a day of community action training.
It is no longer acceptable to only resist poor choices from decision makers and corporations.Friends of the Earth is also creating the solutions that will benefit community, climate, and environment.
We know we have 6 months to make a difference in the lead up to the Victorian State Election.
Now is the time to turn words into actions. We want a Victoria that works for people, climate, environment and economy.
We all need to step up and get sh*t done.
Action will help turn our shared vision into reality.
We know this because it was building a movement of resilient communities that have the skills to act that won campaigns like:
*a permanent ban on fracking in Victoria;
*a Victorian Renewable Energy Target;
*protection for koala habitat in the Strzelecki Forests;
*a pathway for net zero emissions in the Climate Change Act;
*protection for the irreplaceable, old growth Kuark Forest from logging;
*helped to stop every nuclear waste dump ever proposed in Australia;
*freaked the right wing out so much that they want us SHUT DOWN and so much more.
Sick of turning up to training sessions and just being asked to make phone calls?
Sick of endlessly signing online petitions when what we need is people out in the streets?
Get Sh*t Done is about training community so that they can take the action they need to see success
