Geelong Intrepid Landcare & Conservation Ecology Centre

Saturday, 2 May 2020 - 9:30am
Conservation Ecology Centre, 635 Otway Lighthouse Road, Cape Otway

Join Geelong Intrepid Landcare to lend a hand to the Conservation Ecology Centre, who are restoring the coastal woodlands on Cape Otway.

A drive down the Great Ocean Road, a morning in the bush collecting tree guards, followed by a meet and greet with the super fun animals who live at the CEC, and an evening around the campfire - what more could you want in a weekend adventure?

Kangaroos and koalas are pretty much guaranteed on Cape Otway, but the CEC team will also introduce us to their resident Tiger Quoll, Long-nosed Potoroos and Sugar Gliders in a special sneak-peek behind the scenes.

The work we'll be doing in the morning will be helping the CEC team to prepare a site for this year's Big Otway Tree Plant in June.

Free camping will be available on Cape Otway for the Friday 1 May and Saturday 2 May, BYO camping gear, warm clothes and food, or post in the event if you need to borrow gear.

Numbers are limited, so if you want to attend please email and we’ll confirm with final details in the week before the event.

If you need a lift, or are able to offer a carpool, please let us know.
