Geelong Intrepid Landcare & Conservation Ecology CentreSaturday, 2 May 2020 - 9:30am
Conservation Ecology Centre, 635 Otway Lighthouse Road, Cape OtwayVictoria
Join Geelong Intrepid Landcare to lend a hand to the Conservation Ecology Centre, who are restoring the coastal woodlands on Cape Otway.
A drive down the Great Ocean Road, a morning in the bush collecting tree guards, followed by a meet and greet with the super fun animals who live at the CEC, and an evening around the campfire - what more could you want in a weekend adventure?
Kangaroos and koalas are pretty much guaranteed on Cape Otway, but the CEC team will also introduce us to their resident Tiger Quoll, Long-nosed Potoroos and Sugar Gliders in a special sneak-peek behind the scenes.
The work we'll be doing in the morning will be helping the CEC team to prepare a site for this year's Big Otway Tree Plant in June.
Free camping will be available on Cape Otway for the Friday 1 May and Saturday 2 May, BYO camping gear, warm clothes and food, or post in the event if you need to borrow gear.
Numbers are limited, so if you want to attend please email email@example.com and we’ll confirm with final details in the week before the event.
If you need a lift, or are able to offer a carpool, please let us know.
