Sleeping underneath the ground there is an old sleepy lizard named Kulta. BHP is mining right into that Lizard and it aint so sleepy anymore.

“The old spring by Marree has dried up. In town they started buying and trucking in water for the people to drink, while down the road at Roxby they are sucking the blood out of the land, the water of the Great Artisan Basin. And BHP wants more. They are killing us. Turning our mob against each other as they fight over the crumbs of the destruction. The poison is greed, the poison is uranium. We will be issuing BHP an eviction notice. The lizard is singing out. Are you listening? The old Lake Eyre is calling.’’

This is an invitation from Arabunna elder Uncle Kevin Buzzacott to all protectors of the land and waters.

A special call out to artists, musicians, activists, community groups and media to get involved in the creation of this autonomous zone as we move for peace and justice.
