Rural Australians for Refugees are working to create communities shaping change through fostering inclusion and support for refugees and their rights.

The RAR 2024 Conference will bring together refugee activists and supporters, especially from regional Australia, for inspiration and to share experiences. We will learn from each other about our shared values and collective action.

The conference will amplify our voices, and promote justice and safety for asylum-seekers and refugees.

The RAR Conference is held every two years – this year from the evening of Friday October 11 through to Sunday October 13, at Kyneton in Victoria's Macedon Ranges.

The Friday evening opening event is in the historic Kyneton Town Hall, with Behrouz Boochani as the feature speaker.

The conference continues with plenary and workshop sessions on Saturday and Sunday at Sacred Heart College. Mostafa Azimitabar and Farhad Bandesh will join us for the Saturday evening showing of Freedom is Beautiful.

You must register beforehand to attend. Registration tickets including catered lunches and evening meals (Friday: finger food; Saturday: dinner).

Concessions for registration (tickets) are available to concession card (not senior's card) holders and full-time students.

People involved in RAR member groups and/or volunteering for the conference are entitled to a small discount. Please select the right ticket type.

You can also make a donation to support a refugee attend the conference: refugees who don't have a significant income are getting free registration.

Information on the program and speakers will be provided over time.
