Rising Tide

Tuesday, 5 March 2024 - 7:00pm
Pachamama House Community Hub, 21 Gordon Ave, Hamilton East
Awabakal and Worimi Country
New South Wales

Rising Tide's welcome nights are held on the first Tuesday of every month, from 7-8pm.

Come along to hear about our campaign strategy to end coal exports from Newcastle by 2030!

We will get to know each other, discuss Rising Tide's strategy and place in the environmental movement, and how best *you* can get involved! Stay as long as you want afterwards for more info or questions.

Tea and biscuits provided.

We are the rising tide of ordinary people, called by extraordinary times. We are a diverse movement demanding Australia honours our commitment to the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement. We are prepared to take whatever peaceful actions within our power to defend the climate. In 2023 we organised the biggest civil disobedience action in this country's history, blocking the world's largest coal port in Newcastle with a flotilla involving 3,000 people! Join in this year in November.

Eco-shout national grassroots events calendar promotes actions, protests, film screenings, public forums, campaign training, workshops, conservation, revegetation and gatherings for environmental and social justice. Check out how much it's kicking off around the country - together we are lots! Add an event and we'll share it through social media at peak times and do our best to shout about it. Share the calendar with your grumpy mates who think there's nothing going on.
