Friends of the Earth

Saturday, 14 July 2018 - 10:00am
Friends of the Earth - Upstairs, 312 Smith St Collingwood

Rivers, floodplains, forests and wetlands are under threat from mismanagement and corruption at the highest levels.

The Murray Darling Basin Plan has been gutted and governments are turning a blind eye to communities that care about a healthy river.

River Country is building momentum to protect the Murray and draw attention to the ecosystems and communities that rely on the river for their survival.

The skill share will cover the Friends of the Earth's non-hierarchical organising techniques and how to have an impact through social media, community engagement and activism.

It will be fun and interactive so come along, learn new skills and take action!

Lunch provided.

Eco-shout national grassroots events calendar promotes actions, protests, film screenings, public forums, campaign training, workshops, conservation, revegetation and gatherings for environmental and social justice. Check out how much it's kicking off around the country - together we are lots! Add an event and we'll share it through social media at peak times and do our best to shout about it. Share the calendar with your grumpy mates who think there's nothing going on.
