Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Cultural Heritage Aboriginal Corpporation

Sunday, 25 August 2019 - 3:00pm
Rosina Auditorium, Abbotsford Convent, 1 St. Heliers St Abbotsford

A panel of Wurundjeri Elders and an expert on Treaty from Melbourne University will be available to take you through what has been happening in relation to Treaty in Victoria.

Come and learn more about the current Victorian Treaty process and listen to the Wurundjeri people’s views on the Treaty process, and learn about their aspirations related to Treaty and any fears they may have.

Over the past year or so, many forums have taken place advising Victorian Aboriginal people about Treaty and getting their feedback as to how this should look, however there has been little information about Treaty available for the general public.

This event is being held to provide an opportunity for both Indigenous and non-Indigenous people to hear about the aspirations and fears of Melbourne’s Traditional Owners, the Wurundjeri/Woiwurrung people,

The Treaty Panel will provide the audience with a unique opportunity to ask Wurundjeri Elders any questions they have about the Victorian Treaty process, and Wurundjeri’s feelings around Treaty more generally.
