EFFA 2019 film submissions now open.

Whether you’re a local student or filmmaker finishing your first short film, or an international producer planning your annual film festival circuit, now’s the time to submit your film for EFFA 2019. Filmmakers of all career stages and backgrounds are invited to submit documentary or narrative films in the following categories: short film (under 40 minutes); feature film; documentary; or VR.

We're seeking films which

  • Celebrate our nature, flora, fauna and wildlife
  • Champion the people, organisations and projects protecting our environment
  • Illustrate the unprecedented global threats we face, including climate change, food sustainability, habitat loss and pollution.

Key dates are as follows

Film submissions open: 21 January 2019
Earlybird Deadline: 31 March 31 2019
Regular Deadline: 30 April 2019
Late Deadline: 31 May 2019
Notification Date: 1 August 2019
EFFA Festival 2019: 10 – 18 October 2019

Submissions are now open, with entry fees ranging from AU$15.00 - $50.00.
