The house was built in the 50-60's and remains in it's original state - if wallpaper and colourful carpet isn't your thing then this won't be for you. Despite it's age it's very well looked after and has modern appliances to keep you comfortable. It's a very cosy and homely place. There are 4 bedrooms, one room is smaller than the rest and could be used as a study.
The neighbourhood is super safe and quiet, with beautiful modern houses and a primary school/kinder just a walk away.
There is a large backyard with plenty of space to grow veggies, there's a plum, peach, nectarine and walnut tree, a sheltered garage that can fit one car, a private back verandah to sit at, the front has no fence so may prove difficult for a dog. There is plenty of space for car parking on and off the street.
The house features modern appliances, including air conditioner, a split system in the front bedroom, TV, oven/grill, wifi and electric stove top. There is a water tank which connects to the main kitchen tap. There are two compost bins and three collection spots for red cycle soft plastics, standard recycling and regular rubbish. Bathroom has been renovated in the last few years. Fully furnished living areas including fridge, microwave, table and chairs. Each bedroom has it's own wardrobe.
About the available room:
The bedroom features a split air system, electronic shutter blinds, queen sized bed base and mattress, set of drawers, large wardrobe and bedside table with lamp. $160 per week including bills.
Bond amount is two weeks of rent upfront.
Future housemates and current housemates:
Hi I'm Elly the owner of the house. I am looking for our final housemate who will occupy the front bedroom for preferably a minimum of 6 months, I will consider shorter timeframes. Extending longer than 6 months will also be considered. Couples welcome, however price will vary slightly per room. I am after housemates who are respectful of others, LGBQTI friendly, open minded, environmentally conscious, clean and tidy, who will contribute their fair share to keeping the house in good order. A person who likes to garden is an absolute bonus!
This is not a party house. Smoking is allowed as long as it's outside of the house.
I am taking extended leave from my full time job and heading to Melbourne to live temporarily with my partner for about 5 months, which will be my primary base. I aim to come back to the house here and there with my partner during this time. I'm 27 and I enjoy attempting to grow vegetables, cooking plant based feasts and going hiking in the Grampians. My partner Flo is 32, she loves to ferment foods her favourite being kimchi, she loves nature and likes to lead a healthy lifestyle.
Manny is aged 35. He is passionate about leading a healthy lifestyle. He is an engineer working from home but likes going outdoors most days to rockclimb or hike. He likes cooking, gardening and being social, however is respectful of others space.
Envera works in the outdoors and is passionate about caring for the environment. She is respectful of others space and asks the same to other potential housemates.
