a bit communal, vegetarian, has a veggie patch, no tv

We are looking for a lovely person to join our cottage home in Ferntree Gully in september!

THE HOUSE & ROOM:
We have one large, beautiful master bedroom available. The bedroom has lovely and large windows with lots of natural sun in the morning and views of the dandenong ranges, it is unfurnished and carpeted, large enough to set up a private lounge space.
Rent for the room is $160 per week including utilities and internet, available from 19th september. Bond is $760.
The rest of the house is cosy and furnished, with a lounge room overlooking the mountains, gas heater and a charming cottage kitchen. Bathroom and toilet is shared.
We have a large - hectare backyard including space for growing vegetables, a thriving lemon tree and herb garden and features an outdoor studio.
A beautiful east facing deck for outdoor dining, yoga and meditation space in the warmer months.
There is lots of room for storage underneath the house and setting up some studio space.
We are a 5 minute walk to Ferntree Gully station, the main strip of local shops and local IFTI hub (wellbeing and sustainability community) with local markets every month.

US:
We are a young couple, together for 5 years with various house community sharing experiences.
Gemma is a food loving, permaculture-inspired, crafty, bundle of energy, who is studying community services.
Samuel is a creative, introspective, varied artist, well of stillness, who works as an Arts Facilitator for people with a Disability.
Together we love getting down to the earth, living alternatively and sustainably, and pondering the universe over a cup of tea and good food.

YOU:
Someone who is open to sharing space and co-living with others.
Preferably a creative person who understands the artistic life and/or alternative living.
Doesn't mind doing the dishes (no dishwasher) and keeps relatively tidy in communal areas.
Open to sharing meals, food and company but also enjoys your own time.

(No pets or couples, sorry.)

If this sounds like a place you see yourself in, we'd love to hear from you! Email Samuel with a short Bio about yourself and we'll be in touch :)

Eco-shout sharehousing lists notices for sharehouses and people looking to live with like minded souls who are environmentally and socially aware. They may be vegan, vegetarian, organic eaters, lovers of bikes, shunners of tv, plastic and chemicals or just nice people into their veggie patch. You can post your own notice or tell your mates about the network to spread the goodness.
