VictoriaRent: $654 Bond: $733
We’re seeking a lovely person to come live with us in our home in North Fitzroy/East Brunswick.
We're hoping for someone ~30ish to ~50ish who wants to share food and sometimes cook and eat communally. We eat mostly vegan, mostly organic produce, mostly healthy. We've got green household habits.
We're after someone who is queer or a queer ally, reliable at cleaning and paying rent etc, has projects/direction (work, study, self-directed), and who thinks we all sound like a good fit for a happy home. We'd prefer a 6 month+ commitment.
It's a 3 bedroom house - the room for rent is unfurnished, quite small, but not tiny. The house is old, creaky, and full of quirks. Access: there are 2 steps into the front door and 1 step out the back door. Our bathroom is pretty small and the shower is over a bathtub.
We have a massive lemon tree and a vegie garden. We're about 5 mins walk to Merri Creek. <3
It’s a no TV and non-smoking house. Sadly, we can't have most pets.
Public transport access: ~6 mins walk to the #96 tram and #506 bus, ~12 mins walk to the #1 tram.
The room is $654 per month plus bills. Bond is $733. Aiming for room to be filled by 8th April but earlier move-in is possible!
Who lives here –
Naima they/them - queer, freelance composer (works from home), education access worker, loves cycling, rusty ecologist.
Angela she/her –part-time health researcher, kitchen table philosopher, enthusiastic whistler.
We're both in our early 40s
We're folk who are pretty independent and also like to share time, chats, company and meals. The house "vibe" is usually pretty relaxed. We sometimes have visitors: friends for tea or dinner, our squeezes, and occasional interstate family. We enjoy a social drink out and go to concerts, gigs, the bush, films, galleries, and sometimes parties.
