Large, light filled room available in cosy, warm townhouse, Fitzroy North sharing with me Lucy, and Bushky the cat, $265 per/week + bills, $1500 bond. Available now.
A sunny, large, second storey room is available in a spacious open plan townhouse in Fitzroy North, a few minutes walk to Merri ck, St George’s rd, and 10 minutes walk to Fitzroy north shopping area (Piedmontese, Loafer, Wildthings etc)
The house is in good condition, light filled and warm, with parquetry floors, big windows throughout and a small courtyard that’s private and gets lovely morning sun. The lounge and kitchen areas are open plan and spacious. For a small space, it feels like a good combination of cosy but open. The room is large with big windows and built in wardrobes. In terms of living together, I like to live in a clean but relaxed space that feels lived in. I'm open to some kind of food sharing, but generally eat organic and am not vegetarian/vegan... we can have a conversation to get these details right for us both. The garden needs upkeep from time to time. There is a dishwasher, new oven, all the white goods etc. and a good sized bathtub! The house is well furnished but the room is unfurnished, and again, open to convos about furniture if you have some. There is a big shed for storage too. The room is on an annual lease, to be renewed in February 2021 with likely renewal and I have a good relationship with the real estate agent.
Queer and trans friendly, anti-racist, anti-sexist, introvert friendly space.
I am: A queer woman, working at CERES and studying at Melbourne Uni. Lockdown life doesn’t create normal living circumstances obviously, but in other times, I tend to live a pretty quiet life and love to cook, garden and study, but balance that with catching up with mates, going away at weekends, and enjoying all the glorious food offerings and film and theatre festivals of Melbourne.
You are: Preferably 30+ and looking to co-create a home space that works for us both. You have the resources you need in your life to pay rent and bills, to communicate well if things are challenging, to share living spaces respectfully and generously and to want to have a good balance of hanging out and respecting independence. You also need to like cats. Bushky is a cute young thing who loves a pat, but also loves her independence.
No smokers or pets thanks
