We are looking for someone who we can connect with, cohabit a space with in a caring and communal way, and potentially share food with, whilst respecting one another's need for space, particularly in the current circumstances. Seeking a non-judgemental, self-aware, queer friendly person. We are mostly vegetarian/vegan/freegan, but eat what you wish.
You'd be living with two sisters, Lu and Lisa, and a beautiful cat named Persia. Lu studies vet nursing, cooks delicious meals and likes throwing frisbees at the park, and is 'normally' down surfing at the beach or travelling. Lisa studies art therapy, is often reading or walking in the bush, and is looking forward to a time when singing with people is a regular thing again.
Lu works almost full time as a vet nurse and Lisa works in a hospital a few days a week, both onsite, therefore we tend to be fairly careful with the current restrictions. Having said that, we are still (carefully) dumpster diving and going for plenty of walks. Our 5km radius includes a big area of the much loved Yarra bushland.
The room is a large sunny west facing room that can come semi-furnished if needed. The home has a big grassy garden, with some yummy plants growing, but isn't often tended to - green thumbs encouraged to apply! Separate toilet/bathroom, dining, lounge, two pianos and multiple kitchen appliances! There is a carport, on street parking permit, good public transport and the yarra bike trail is at the end of the street, and for when all opens up again, we live next to the abbotsford convent.
$800 + bond and bills.
Our intention is to move out of the home towards the end of the year, however there is opportunity to take over the lease - currently you don't need to be on the lease. The owner does intend to demolish at some point in the future, but it's unlikely it will happen anytime soon.Interviews currently online.
