Newtown, Inner West, Sydney
New South Wales
Rent: $220 pw incl. Bond: 4 weeks
vegetarian, vegan, extra queer friendly

Cute compact furnished room overlooking terrace rear onto palms, own narrow staircase, share quiet DIY/working owner. Cared for but unpretentious home undergoing incremental repairs. Arty and quaint pet-friendly area, close Newtown, St Peters and Erskineville stations and King St bus. Not party house. Suit tidy and sensible non-smoking lodger 3-6 months. Longer term neg. Mon-Fri considered. 4 weeks bond, rent in advance.

New gas stove, new electric oven. Large bath tub and shower over tub. Clothes washer. Outside clothes drying line, inside clothes over-door drying rack in room and in living area. Air-con in bedroom, gas heating in living area and fans available. Rear access to house from park, patio sitting area outside with rustic BBQ table and shade umbrella.

There is only one other occupant, myself. Am fairly quiet and can be quirky. Grew up in Sydney, have lived and worked in London most of my life. Recent post-graduate uni degree completed. Have hung out in extreme alternative scenes previously but now lead a fairly average life. Am somebody who has worked hard all their life without the silver spoon and perhaps has something to show for it.

Open minded - very tolerant of quiet or autistic individuals. Keeping in mind it's a narrow row of quaint but long terraces, the neighbours have to be respected. Late night clubbing or shift work ok. The house wouldn't cope with getting knocked about inside with drunken behaviour and has had some work done to it but it's lasted since the 1880's . . .

Eco-shout sharehousing lists notices for sharehouses and people looking to live with like minded souls who are environmentally and socially aware. They may be vegan, vegetarian, organic eaters, lovers of bikes, shunners of tv, plastic and chemicals or just nice people into their veggie patch. You can post your own notice or tell your mates about the network to spread the goodness.
