A lovely bedroom in Pascoe Vale (with large built in wardrobes), is available now. Rent includes unlimited internet but utility bills are paid separately.
The house has a large open plan kitchen/dining room, lovely loungeroom, wooden floorboards and tiles throughout, a shared bathroom with 2nd loo in the indoor laundry, a large garden front and back with vege patch and the common areas are furnished. There is on street parking available in a quiet street and it is close to a small shopping centre with bakery, cafes, small supermarket. There is also use of a large, cleanish shed that has power and light, concrete flooring and benches.
In the past there has been a good balance of communal and independent living and I would like to continue along that path with a new housemate as this creates a comforting, happy place to live in.
I try to be environmentally conscious and recycle, compost, worm farm and be mindful of water usage. There is a big vege patch here as well as a well established lemon tree, lime tree and assorted herbs. I practice chemical free pest control and try to use as few chemicals elsewhere as possible.
I am seeking a housemate who is clean and houseproud ( as I am), who has good communication skills so that potential issues can be discussed together without drama, has an interest in gardening and will take the initiative on house and garden projects to keep it maintained.
You'd be sharing with me initially (and a third person eventually when border restrictions lift and my WA housemate can retrieve her belongings to relocate with her partner...more on that when we speak). I'm in my early 50's working as a costume maker. I have studio space at home which has allowed me to keep working through this crazy previous 12 months but if things ever go back to normal, I'm usually employed outside of the house. I enjoy reading, jigsaw puzzles, cooking, human company, dancing, trying yoga, camping, music and listening to RRR, PBS and vinyl. It's a tv free house but when the need arises, I'll watch things via my computer.
I am seeking someone in their 40's and above who is ok with having friends visit and occasionally stay if the tyranny of distance is too much and I would be fine with the same for you.
If this resonates with you, please send me an email telling me a little about yourself, age, occupation, work schedule and what you are looking for in a home.
No couples or pets I'm afraid because of allergies and the fact that there is a friendly neighbour's cat who chooses to spend her life here in the garden rather than at her own place.
