Rent: $250 per week Bond: $1000
a bit communal, vegetarian, extra queer friendly, organic food, has a veggie patch, chemical free, no tv

This is an unusually beautiful renovated Edwardian home, well insulated and well equipped, furnished in tune with the style, set in flourishing gardens in Queen Street Coburg. Soon - on 22/12/19, a bright east-facing room with its own garden porch will be available; this is the Master bedroom in a charming home of character that is nicely furnished, plus we have a substantial storeroom which enables flexibility with furnishings - in case you might like to bring some of your own. We can decide together amicably about how we organise household needs and tasks. This household is eco-friendly and has always maintained sustainable principles. Fortunately the home is surprisingly cool most summer days and each room has a fan if needed. In Winter we can keep our bedrooms and shared areas warm with Dimplex oil heaters. The front garden is full of fruiting and flowering trees and the back garden has herbs in pots as well as plenty of space for expansion into vegetable gardens no longer in use right now. We have a composting area, worm farm and lovely cubby house for visiting children also in the back garden.
Our House Owner is a very pleasant man who offers to undertake any maintenance required.
A variety of public transport (buses, trams and train) are within walking distance and we have reliable street parking in front. It’s about twenty minutes to the CBD and not far from the Tullamarine and Calder Freeways.
If you would like to see more images or ask questions, please email me: . I am in India at present but we have time to communicate by email before I return. I could also telephone you if you send me your number; in this case I would arrange a suitable time to ring and send you my Indian number beforehand. A house sitter is presently living in my room and caring for MishiMo - feline resident. The address is 89 Queen Street Coburg in case you would like to see the property from the street first, and if interested to visit please email me. A friend living nearby will be able to introduce you to Queen House and MishiMo. Moreover the spacious room with garden porch is actually empty now so you could feasibly move in before the HouseSitter vacates the property if you so required.
You would be sharing just with myself - an Australian woman writer, artist, puppeteer, environmentalist who was many years engaged in the reforestation of Arunachala mountain in Tamil Nadu, from where I now write. I return here for a few months each year.
I look forward immensely to hearing from you. Do introduce yourself so we can become acquainted.
Salute. Apeetha Arunagiri
