About the space: bright, open, spacious apartment with three bedrooms, three balconies, two bathrooms, two living rooms, and gorgeous city views. About us: you'd be living with Katie (35) works full time (currently from home) in energy efficiency for the Victorian government (helping all of us by reducing emissions in industry), loves surfing and being outside, goes running, camping, and to house parties and festivals when they're happening. Loves dress ups and good books, plants, making furniture. Loves to chat nonsense and dream dreams. I eat vegetarian, non-smoker, wake up early, and go to bed early when I'm not out dancing or in a cuddle puddle until the wee hours.
And Jamie (34), a part-time osteopath and massage therapist who works outside the house most days. He loves learning about everything (currently pain science and soil regeneration), bouldering, running, dancing, and speaking other languages (Katie and Jamie both speak German together sometimes). Jamie is vegan (mostly), loves being in bed by 10pm to make the most of his days and spends a bit of time with his partner Sally.
Nutmeg (1.5yr, 11kg) very well behaved chocolate Labradoodle who loves tug of war, pillow fights, chasing balls, playing with her friends in the park, can jump like a cricket. After she's done playing she'll cuddle and sleep on your lap on the couch. Doesn't bark, but if you give her a squeaky ball she will use that to talk. Nutmeg was a saving grace, a well of unconditional love through lockdowns. Hopefully she doesn't need to save us again...
About you: top shelf housemate behaviours sought, this means all the basics like paying bills on time, cleaning up after yourself, and clear communication with a desire to create a space where everyone feels heard, as well as being aware of your surroundings and considerate to those you are sharing space with. Someone who works days, keeps a clean house and likes a quiet house from 10pm weekdays. Must be warm, kind, and emotionally available to love a small Brown Labradoodle.
After all that is covered hopefully we can have some laughs and fun times around the house. Ideally we could cook some meals together, play a board game, choreograph a dance and then quit halfway through and never show it to anyone, chat about our days, bake a pie, dress up for a fancy at home dinner party if we're not allowed out, sit on the couch and read different books at the same time...
Details: one, north-facing, sun-filled bedroom with BIRs, measuring....... is available, this place has typically had 3-4 people living here; we have trialled two for the last while and would love to have a third.

*Please also be aware that there is a construction site across the road, meaning there is some noise (mostly low to moderate) from 7am-5pm Monday-Friday. The room for rent is on the opposite side of the building from the construction side.
